Round Robin

In comments, do the following.

Recommend:

1. A book you’ve read in the past year that you would gladly read again (and probably will).
My selection: Killing Yourself To Live

2. A film you’ve seen in the past year that, after viewing, you wanted to tell everyone you know to see.
My selection: There Will Be Blood

3. A song you’ve heard in the past year that genuinely moved you in some way.
My selection: LCD Soundsystem – All My Friends

4. A YouTube video you’ve watched in the past year that totally cracked your shit up, or amazed you, or made such a strong impression on you that you’ve felt compelled to show it to everyone you know.
My selection: All Online Data Lost After Internet Crash

Yes, I’m looking for recommendations. Hot tips, if you will.

You don’t have to explain why you picked what you picked. Let your choices speak for themselves.

HTML is go, and links should auto-link, so we all can enjoy your picks. Ready? GO.

PS: You don’t have to do all four. If you really only have one thing you’d like to share, by all means, do.

    Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin
    Superbad!
I have to admit it – the song Starlight by Muse spoke to me in a weird (yes, cheesy!)way!
That you tube clip of the prisoners dancing to MJ was bizarro and memorable!

Late to the game, but better late than never:
    1. World Without End by Ken Follet
    2. Bee Movie. Seriously. Show it to kids. Bees are important.
And nothing for the last two. I'm on an audiobook kick so that's all that's on my ipod. And anything I look at on YouTube involves cats. :)

    1. Lying: A Metaphorical Memoir by Lauren Slater
After so many memoirs that whose authors have been vilified for lying, it's refreshing to read one upfront and honest (oxymoronic?) about its lies.
    2. I'm not really much of a movie goer, or even a movie renter. (I canceled my Netflix account.) The last movie I watched was HBO's Recount about the 2000 election.
    3. It's a few years old, but I'm loving Jens Lekman's "Black Cab."
    4. Not so much with the YouTube. Oh, this counts as another song that moved me: Elvis Perkins's "While You Were Sleeping" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjN8kyK14wk
