    Lovely piece. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Interesting to me that the most indigent appearing person is one of the only to bring up a societal issue ("to end the violence in New Orleans") rather than a personal one ("be a millionaire"). of course, the intensely personal statement of "to have my son back" ripped my heart out of my chest. I think I would have said, to have no hungry children remaining in this country. Or, you know, world peace.
