    For some reason, MIA's Paper Planes is totally summer to me, this year anyway. I think because I finally got hip to it ages after it was popular – last spring, when the weather was warming up and I could play it (obnoxiously) with the windows down.

    I hated "I'm Yours" when it first came out (last summer I think) It was just sooo over played and then I had Z in december and they wheeled me into the recovery room and my husband put on the tv and there was a re-run of regis or something with Jason singing his dumb "i'm yours" song except that right then they wheeled my little girl into the room and put her in my arms and from that moment I was hers…so not so much summer but all the time jam song and now that it IS summer again every time it comes on I sing it and get all misty eyed

    The summer between high school and college I got the Beastie Boys Licensed to Ill stuck in my car's tape deck, and couldn't flip to the radio without taking it out. I drove 150 miles every weekend to see my boyfriend, and I think I dreamed of the Boys more than I dreamed of the boyfriend after a few weeks of that.

    I have never had "The Look," damnit, let alone the total look.
    I am a music midget and have a piss poor memory, meaning I can only remember a few years back. I liked the Jack Johnson song that had something to do with bubbly toes…then again, I might be completely off as I always thought Rock the Casbah was Rock the Sasquatch.

    I think I must have started listening to grunge during the summer because when I think about summer and laying out it all comes flooding back. I loved Pearl Jam and Nirvana (all of Nirvana)I couldn't pick one song that stands out to me though.
