Choose Your Own Adventure

You announce your presence.

You open the door.

You say yes.

You try.

You decide to ask a few questions.

You consider arguments for both sides.

You believe them.

You bluff.

You plan your escape.

You stop to investigate.

You accept their offer.

You decide to keep it secret.

You break the silence by talking to them.

You get help.

You keep your word.

You stand your ground.

You take one last look.

You start picking up the pieces.

There are many possible conclusions to the story, many paths you can take.

Most end in death.*

Long is the way, and hard – that out of hell leads to light.

When I was a kid, I used to love those Choose Your Own Adventure books. But this? This just scares the hell out of me.
Hope everything's okay. Can't wait to see you and y'er girl. XOXO

    @Enna – Here, here!
@TQoH – Six o'clock and all is well. This may have something to do with the fact that I have a glass of wine in my hand, however. :) Can't wait to see you, too. PS: WRITE, DAMMIT!

Wow…I love how you could take it so many different ways. From trying to figure out the author's prospective, to just how it fits for you. First Class!

“I had nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion”
Not my words but still the words of one hip cat who took the road less traveled. Props to Jack!
