I pulled out Superchunk's "Foolish" today -- the soundtrack to my mid-twenties, it so happens -- and in listening to it recalled speeding down dark Michigan roads late at night circa 1994, blasting this song on my Ford Escort's suped-up stereo (it was a Ford Escort, but I had a custom stereo put in -- even back in my reckless youth, I knew what mattered, people), singing along at the top of my lungs, with feeling.
