hi, johnny!!
the following radness is courtesy of my long lost best friend john huston, who just emailed me out of the blue.*
*i had not spoken with john since...well, since i was pregnant with M_, i think. we met when i was 15 (16?), and i consider him to be the single most influential person in my life, parental units aside. clearly i need to write something about this...more later today.

Um, I know that guy Blake.

did you know about this...band? for a moment i thought "maybe we could get them from rock-n-romp"... but i somehow think it might be kind of disturbing for the younger audience members. and me.
man, they HAVE TO wear pirate costumes.

and you'll appreciate this: i've been freaking out for the past 1/2 hour after realizing that we don't have a CD copy of Throwing Muses first lp. got that sucker on vinyl, but now its out of print on cd. EEK!

wow. i don't know which bit of information in this post astounds me more.
and the first Throwing Muses LP is OUT OF PRINT?!? how is that possible? shouldn't there be a law against that sort of thing?

yes, that guy blake is a regular around town...kind of crazy, i guess, big drinker and talker...loves kids (not in a creepy way but in a let-me-show-you-pics-of-my-niece-and-nephew kind of way) so he might be into r-n-r...i could ask?

just a note: the article does say that they are a "studio project" only because playing live would be too much for the bird. that would be pretty cool and/or scary to see live, though! heh.
