Dash is still getting the hang of it but I found that putting him in briefs and letting him wet himself a few times encouraged him to come tell me when he was wet. Now we're working on telling me when he's ABOUT TO BE wet, which is a whole other challenge. I also let him pee outside a lot.

Pardon the pun, but just go with the flow for the first few days. Kingston got freaked out about actually seeing his pee come out of him and onto the floor or into his pants that he quickly got over his aversion to the potty. the first day or so is the worst of it and then it seems to click pretty quickly. expect setbacks. be patient, calm, and reassuring. put her in old clothes and try to keep her in rooms that can be easily cleaned. take the potty with you all over the house if necessary. she'll do it and you'll feel great. :-)
hang in there, mama.
Angela told me that seeing Kingston's picture on the potty gave R_ some motivation to go on hers. If you'd like to try that tactic, go here:

dude, it's all about the bribery. reward her with something she doesn't usually get, but likes -- m&ms, stickers, whatever. fruit snacks worked for jack, mainly because we never gave them to him before. bribery, i tells ya. it works everytime.

Be prepared for setbacks. We've been working on training for a few months now and have just ended a 2 week potty strike. We're finally seeing some real interest again. My friend told me her 2 both took about 1 full year to really get it. Most importantly, all kids are different and get it at their own pace. Don't force it or stress about it - just not worth the frustration. Good luck!

I think you should send M_ to Pee Camp.
