last evening claire and sean came over bearing several cans of SPARKS -- a drink that can be best described as Red Bull + alcohol. it is, in essence, Bartles & James XXTREME... or, if you prefer, liquid crack. satan says: drink my new radical energy drink OF DOOM, dude! c'mon, i double dog dare you! what are you, some kind of pussy?!?
seriously, that was some incredibly messed up shit. and yet i woke up this morning wondering where i could get more... as soon as humanly possible.

ok you are like the 5th person I know to have that reaction to that stuff. I have a friend where every other word out of her mouth is sparks. I was driving-SPARKS-down the street when I-SPARKS-saw that liquer barn-SPARKS-was having a sale on SPARKS.
Good luck batteling that addiction :-) i may have to breakdown and try it now.

I've seen it but haven't tried it. I remember seeing people drink Red Bull and vodka though, and I thought that was a pretty odd combination.
I'm sufficiently addicted to apple martinis and Fat Tire beer. I need not exacerbate this aleady problematic situation.

Sweet jumping jackrabbit that stuff is good. My first (and second, and... uh, eighth? ninth?) exposure to Sparks was down in Tennessee last year, and I thought I'd left it well behind.
Last week, the liquor store around the corner from work put up a big sign which screamed, "SPARKS HERE!" So much for the rest of my brane cells.

We were just talking about the old two liter bottles of Bartles and James last night. Dave was telling us how Bartles and James had twice the alcohol of beer even though we had assumed it was a low-alcohol fruity beverage (because of course he would know this obscure fact).

I have a friend who loves Sparks. He says it is great for drunken running races. (I have not tested this out.) I think it tastes like liquid Smarties.
