Congratulations! Today my daughter is 8. I still think that children's birthday are more of a feat of motherhood than a childhood accomplishment. I mean really, at 8 my child is still alive (although will probably need mental help due to my parenting), has all her limbs and is pretty happy. So I say, live it up, call your friends, hang out enjoy. We will have a drink to you at our adult mommy party!
