Its The Perfect Blendship.

My friend Beth, the artist formerly known as Crazy Us, came to visit two weekends ago. I've held off posting photos from that visit because -- as many of you are aware -- she's taken her leave of blogdom, and I wasn't sure if she wanted me to put these up, following so rapidly on the heels of her taking her site down. Its an impulse that I'm sure all of us with blogs can relate to and have felt at one time or other ourselves, but I'm pleased to note for all concerned about her well-being that Beth is alive and healthy and happy, as these photos testify. And many thanks to her for allowing me the pleasure of sharing them.

Those are great pictures. I especially lik the wishbone one.

Hi, Beth!

Beth! We miss you. So glad to hear you are well and so happy to see that you are as sexy as ever.

I think M_ and Eli make a very nice couple.

Too right on the sexy thing. There's a whole mythology about the "gap toothed woman" having superior skillz to the rest of us...

Trace,

What great photos and what a nice post! You were a highlight of our most recent last minute DC trip (Dave's dad is in failing health -- he has been sick for a while, but has taken a recent very bad turn).

Thank you for thinking of me and yes, it has been wonderful and essential for me to take a break. Our life suddenly became busy way way beyond my usual busy.

About three weeks ago I had my first period since having my miscarriage. My hormones went through the roof and I never knew I could feel so wild or sad. It was rough to say the least. Consequently, because of recent last-minute family events, I needed to put my crazy hormones on hold to concentrate all my efforts on my family.

You see and for starters, all summer we were secretly toying with the idea to move to Park City sooner. Why? We thought it would ultimately be better to start Kyle in school in Park City instead of pulling him out in two months (when our house is complete) and making him adjust mid-year. After talking to his new principal and the coordinator of the ELP (Early Learning Program) which Kyle had been in in SLC, we felt good about the change. Our decision was solidified a few weeks back, after some morons stole ALL of Dave's tools from our home-building site (which took at least six men to saw through the chain holding the GIGANTIC tool box in place and then remove the one ton box from the work site). Obviously, after we got the bad tool news, we knew that we needed to be closer so we could keep better watch on things.

Our SLC house is now on the market (anyone know anyone looking for a very cool house in a very awesome neighborhood, send me an email). I have been cleaning like a mad woman ever since returning a week ago from DC.

Did I mention that I have a yeast infection? Ewwwwwww.

I wanted to write a big post on my website about all of these changes, but seriously, instead, we had to hop on a plane and the best I could do was take the site down because I needed to focus all my efforts on my family. Anyone who knows me knows that if my website was up, then I would feel too compelled to check on it and keep posting, instead of focusing on what I need to be focusing on.

Anyway, Trace, thank you again for posting this. We had a blast seeing the whole G-P crew.

Hi Beth!

I'm SO happy to hear you're focusing on what you want to focus on. I also toy with the site - wondering if it's really what I want to be doing. I think we all do that.
I hope things in Le Vagine Department settle down for ya.
Great photos and nice to see your face, dah-ling!
Trace, you are such an awesome friend - I'm glad you and Beth have each other. You're both wonderful in my books!
Love Karen
xo

Beth! I hadn't realised until now that CrazyUs had disappeared from my Bloglines. Nice to hear from you via this blog though and I wish you every happiness in Park City.

Beth--

My husband and I are looking for an affordable house--ask T for my e-mail and let me know where I can find the listhing.

Thanks and Blessings to you and your family. Sorry to hear that you're going through so many things at the same time.

Life's like that (oooh sorry didn't mean to make cheesey music reference, sorry).

YYYAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!! Beth you have been terribly missed. Thanks so much for the heads up on the update here, I'm so glad that you're doing okay. You are the busiest person I *know*. LOVE the photos. Beth and Tracey, your kids are so cute playing together. I'm so sorry about Dave's father. Best wishes as you all go through ALL that you have going on right now. *Mwah*

I LOVE me some Beth.

I'm so glad to see that she is alright. I was worried when her site went down. And, I'm a personal fan of the gap in the teeth thing. An orthodontist closed my gap before I was old enough to know I could say NO.

Thanks for the update, Tracey and Beth! It’s so beautiful to see true friendship.

Beth: Despite all of the many things-and hormones-you have going on right now, I wanted to congratulate you on making the decision to move to Park City. Although selling your house and doing the moving part are/will be stressful, at least the decision is made, right? [I love the Indigo Girls song "Watershed," where they sing: "Up on the watershed...standing at the fork in the road...you can stand there and agonize, 'til your agony's your heaviest load..."]

Wishing you well...and drink lots of cranberry juice.

thank you so much for this update, I'm so happy to see pictures of Beth and her family. I miss you Beth.
xoxo

Thanks for posting the photos! It's great to see pics of Beth and her boys again. I sure miss hearing about them all.

Love that photo of the two of you and the wishbone one. Looks like a good time was had by all. Nice to know that minus blogdom, you can still be friends. Cool.

Beth! See? WE MISS YOU. Really, we do. Come back? Please?

Thanks! for the updating, you two. :)

Beth: glad to hear you are doing well, and I hope the moving transition goes smoothly for you and yours.

Sweetney: Hi! Delurking to say hello, and also: M_ is adorable. :)

Glad for a Beth update. Thanks, Trace.
