What the world needs now is pug, sweet pug
I don't know about the rest of you, but between our current economic apocalypse and the intensity of this year's election politics, I'm freaking exhausted. Tapped, drained, spent, BURNT OUT.
Which is precisely why I decided it was time to pull out the big guns.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I bring you some much needed levity -- embodied in the form of the fluffy, fawn-colored lump of pure awesome we call Truman -- dressed up as a pig and a chicken.

The classic "why you do this?" look

Freed from pig-headed terror, Truman now wrestles with the horrors of pig neck

He's trying to go to his happy place here, far far away from the pain

Mid chicken-head-dislodging shake

Yeah, he looks comfortable with all of this. Totally.
For trick-or-treating purposes, I'm partial to chicken myself, though M insists pig is the way to go. Mired as we are in this heavy season of debate, what say you regarding the all-important Pig Vs. Chicken issue, my fellow Americans?
Aside to Jonniker: OH IT'S ON.

If you can put lipstick on him, I vote for the pig.

while i give Truman due props for bearing full costume TWICE (p.s. Pig! Pig! Pig!), i direct your attention here:

...where i trump you.
YEA, I TRUMP THEE.

He is too cute. I vote for the pig. Piggy Pug.

pig all the way.

I have to say that I think maybe Sarcomical did trump you. You are gonna have to get some of those wigs for Truman. He's very cute and I have to agree with the pig voters. And the lipstick would be hilarious...

I actually like the chicken better. But what do I know? I dressed my bulldog Izzy in a ladybug outfit one Halloween and she got so annoyed that after the costume came off, she marched to the center of the room and peed while looking me square in the eye. My dog is no fun.

Well, in the spirit if this year's election, I too have to go with the pig.
And OMG is he freakin' cute.

He looks pretty fabulous in both but I vite chicken - unless lipstick really is possible.

vite = vote

Ha ha HAAAAA. I will totally admit defeat, seeing as you had TWO OUTFITS. TWO.
Poor Truman. Traumatized as only a pug can be.
Oh, and for the record, I'm going with PIG.

I think he looks more comfy in the chicken for some reason. Pig= TOTAL DEFEAT.
I'm trying to figure out a way to get Stella to wear lipstick for Halloween, being part pit bull and all.

Oh yeah... pig and lipstick. GOTTA be that one!

The pig is funnier in theory, but the chicken is cooler when looking at it.

My vote is the pig. And now I must go find an outfit for Nixon.
You and Truman are corrupting me.
I love it.

Pug as pig for sure! (Chicken is cute, too.)
Posted by: chibi | 08 October 2008 at 11:41 AM
CHICKEN!
Posted by: Kristen | 08 October 2008 at 12:03 PM
Pig is cute, but I think chicken wins!

Which one does he feel more comfortable in? He seems much more ambivalent about the chicken.
I spent last weekend babysitting a pug puppy. Want one now.

I think I'm gonna have to go with Porky the Pug
Posted by: Keri | 08 October 2008 at 01:32 PM
PIG...and you MUST add some lipstick.
My fav photo is the last one with the pig. I love how his little face is just resting on the ground, and it looks like he's being eaten alive by a giant pig. Agghh!
