I have a horrible, sinking feeling that my "Look" is somehow incomplete
For your information, achieving "LOOK" TOTALITY involves the completion of a complex, and only partially understood algorithm, consisting of:
+
Generous application of Wet 'n' Wild Cosmetics
+
= THE TOTAL LOOK MUTHAFUCKAS!1!!!!!
heh.
Aaaaand speaking of things related to The Rock Music, which it seems like the kids are so into these days, I have another one of those awesome Sandisk Slot Radio players to give away! WOOT!
As you might recall, it's a wee thing that comes pre-programmed with 1,000 -- yes, that's ONE THOUSAND -- handpicked
songs, so you don't have to bother with burning and transferring songs from CDs or downloading things from iTunes. Kinda cool, huh? Ideal for summer travel and throwing in with beach towels and sunscreen when you're heading out to the shore.
All you have to do to enter to win is leave a comment on this here post (here I'll give you a topic: what's your favorite Summer Jam, past or present?), and I'll randomly pick a winner this Friday, July 10th, around noonish. That's a tight time-frame, so get a-commentin', people!
. . . . .
Aaaaaand we have a winner! Congratulations to Sumo! You shall soon be in possession of delicious music player goodness! WOOT!
And thanks to everyone else who participated. Fret not, fair readers, for I'll have one last player to give away next month, so stay tuned!

This summer I'm totally stuck on "Toes" by Zac Brown Band.
"Got my toes in the water
Ass in the sand
Not a worry in the world
A cold beer in my hand
Life is good today"

Oh there are so many! Right now I'm loving on Meatloaf's "You Took the Words Right out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)"

I'm a fan of hillbilly bluegrass in the summer months, because I grew up in Winnipeg where the big event of the year is the folk festival. But also, old school skate punk reminds me of summers as a teenager, with slurpees and boys. So it's a tie between an assortment of hillbilly bluegrass and say, some Descendents and Suicidal Tendencies.

I still love Will Smith's "Summertime"!

The Ramones - Palisades Park. The song actually reminds me of the county fair where I grew up in Illinois. Lots of corn, dirt track horse racing, demolition derbys and greasy carnie food.

Right now I like Redneck Yacht Club, love going to the lake or river with all of our friends.

I guess I don't generally associate specific songs with summer. I will admit that when the clouds cleared in the spring, I found myself listening to Mr. Blue Sky by ELO. A lot.

Will Smith's "Summertime" for sure

I love summer songs! One of my all-time faves is Summer in the City, but every summer I look for a new "summer song" - like Umbrella by Rihanna one year, Mai a hi by that ukrainian band another year, Paper Planes by MIA last summer. This summer I am visciously digging Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas and keeping a Michael Jackson station going on Pandora :-)

I heard "Saturday in the Park" the other night, and it totally got me.

I don't have a specific song I listen in the summer, but most of the songs I hear in the summer are Ozzy Osbourne- specifically Trap Door!

I love the song Aloha Friday. Thank you.

I'm currently spending entirely too much time with sparkling lip gloss and "Folding Chair" by Regina Spektor.

Because I'm lame..
"Ride with Me" by Nelly.
It broke while I was first starting radio, and I had to fight to get it on our station. ("We don't play THOSE people, Sarah!")

I heart all music in the summer because summer means no snow and no snow is fine by me.

"Boys of Summer" by Don Henley. Forever.
