I'm a fan of hillbilly bluegrass in the summer months, because I grew up in Winnipeg where the big event of the year is the folk festival. But also, old school skate punk reminds me of summers as a teenager, with slurpees and boys. So it's a tie between an assortment of hillbilly bluegrass and say, some Descendents and Suicidal Tendencies.

One of my all-time faves is Summer in the City, but every summer I look for a new "summer song" - like Umbrella by Rihanna one year, Mai a hi by that ukrainian band another year, Paper Planes by MIA last summer. This summer I am visciously digging Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas and keeping a Michael Jackson station going on Pandora :-)
