These shoes rule, Betch.*

So I kind of have a thing for Danskos.

I've mentioned them more than a few times recently -- mainly on twitter, where all of my best 140 character-limited product fetishizing goes down -- as I became something of a convert over the summer after purchasing what I now know to be THE MOST AWESOMEST AND COMFORTABLEST SANDALS EVAR from the Dansko line. Since then I've bought a few other, more cold-weather-friendly-type Dansko models, my favorite among them being this Merrie Clog:

 

They are SO ridiculously comfortable, in addition to being FREAKING ADORABLE, that they're pretty much all I wear now. MY OCD: LET ME SHOW YOU IT.

I know, I know. All of this is unbearably scintillating, right? sigh.

Danskos fucking rock my world. I have a red patent leather pair. I love them so so much that I wore them on ice last winter, slipped, turned my ankle and broke it in 2 places. Even after 8 pins and 2 plates, I refuse to abandon my beloved clogs. I've coveted the Merrie Clog from afar but have yet to fork over the cash...probably because I'm still paying off the surgery bill!

I wore my favorite pair for ten years until they blew out - I looked down and one side of the heel was missing. I was going to replace them with a new color, thought about a slightly different model... and I couldn't do it - had to have my cordovan clogs again.

If I had these? I could get a whole nother color and wear 'em twice as much, or each pair half as much...take even longer to blow them out.

Something shiny, I think. That would be grand. Truly.

OMG, I totally need those shoes. They are the cutest shoes in the whole world and--AND--I just happen to have a pair of striped socks (orange and black) that would look pretty amazing with them. I also have a pair of Grape Ape socks that would look pretty cute.
