Christmas Freud

I first posted this holiday favorite (well, it's a holiday favorite *of mine*) back in 2005, but am posting it again this evening to amuse and enlighten a friend who'd recently confessed to never having heard of it. I think after a listen you'll understand why that ignorance is something I simply cannot abide.

And If you haven't heard this brilliant David Rakoff piece before? Consider yourself the aforementioned friend and have a listen. No, I insist. OH JUST DO IT ALREADY, JEEZ.

cough. Please to enjoy.

PS: A few years back I made a pretty solid holiday music mix that's available for download here, if you'd like:

Fantastic. My favorite NPR essay about Christmas: David Sedaris's Santaland Diaries: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5066175
